I hope everyone is having a pleasant holiday season and Christmas is expected to be enjoyable for everyone. I personally am still trying to rest after that unbelievable weekend of racing at ECR (weekend because we had so many entries it lasted until Sunday morning!). In LaVergne, we thought we had a fantastic turn out with 93 entries, but we totaled 103 at Anderson! And that doesn't include about 6 more entries who had to leave due to an illness in the family. Chris Hunter, we all hope your father in law to be is getting better.

So on to the races. In 4" stockcar, we had a total of 25 racers. In the first main, Terry Kelly won his second race of the class, with Chris Barnes running a distant second and John Martin close behind in third. In the second main, John Wood was the winner, Bill Smith second, and John Duke Hester in third. In the third main, home town racers prevailed as Chris Wilson came in first, Eddie Beard was in second and Jeff Wilson in third. The overall lap totals for the class 4” 1 St Terry Kelly, 2nd Chris Barnes, 3rd john Martin.

In the 4.5 stockcar class, there were a total of 18 entries, the highest total so far this year in the class. In the first main, John Martin drove to the win, with Terry Kelly in second and Scott Gay in third. In the second main, Eddie Beard took the win, with John Wood close behind in second, and young Craig LaForm in third. In GTI, there were a total of 30 cars, the tops for the weekend. There were 4 races in the class. In the first main, Chris Barnes won his first race of the year, with Tony Powell 2nd and John Martin 3rd right on his tail. In the second main, Chris Kirouac came in the winner, with John Hester in second, and Scott Gay in third. In the third main,
Chris Wilson won his second race of the weekend, followed by Bill Smith in second, and Robert Kirouac in third. The fourth main saw Chris's brother Jeff Wilson win his first race, with Eddie Beard on the podium for the third straight race in second, and Chris Stephens in third. The overall lap totals for GTI 1st Chris Barnes, 2nd Tony Powell, 3rdJohn Martin.

In GTP, there were a total of 29 cars which put the total over a 100. Remember, at least 6 drivers had to leave! In the first race, John Martin won his second race of the weekend and fourth straight podium appearance, Tony Powell in second, and Terry Kelly in third. In the second race, Chris Wilson won his THIRD race of the day, followed by John Wood in second and Bill Smith in third. In the third race, Jeff Wilson cruised to his second win of the weekend, with Chris Stephens in second, and Stewart Houston (from Australia) in third.
